Klitschko would be gone early against Tyson.

I see the Classic has gone into nostalgia mode with the Chavez vs Marquez discussion.....

Vitali beats Mike Tyson easily IMO. He's just far too big. Wlad would probably get stopped because we all know how he reacts under pressure

    This Vitali love-in is ridiculous.

With the way some people talk about him it's as if he's unbeatable, Godzilla taking on little hyenas like Holyfield, Tyson and Bowe.

He's another human being, one with very average footwork and technique, his chin is his best attribute and that's not exactly proven beyond all doubt at the top level. The one elite puncher he faced was Lewis, past his best at 38..... fat Sanders and fat Williams probably wouldn't get Holyfield or Tyson's attention.

The fact that he was able to have four years off, come back and win a title then beat half a dozen mediocre challengers says more about them than he does about him, he'll have his hands full with Adamek I feel.

I just don't see where he's superior to any of them. OK, he's fairly difficult to hit on the outside, but all three of Holyfield, Tyson and Bowe are good at opening people up, and Bowe especially at landing hard shots in close..... it's an art that Vitali hasn't ever mastered.

His jab isn't that good, Holyfield and Tyson would slip it for sure, Bowe would catch a few but has the overall length to land his own too.

Let's face it, Vitali wasn't in any rush to fight Rahman, all he had was a half decent jab and a murderous right hand if it was well timed and landed flush.

All of this is 100% true.

Most that laud him say that Carnera was ****. Go figure:nut

His chin is shockingly overrated; he has only faced one puncher (Hide never hit him) and it was basically the Lennox that turned up to fight Rahman first time. And he couldn't get rid of him.

    Little power
    Horrible footwork
    Slow and ponderous

Yeah, he'll beat a prime Kid Dynamite.

Let's have a list of 90's middling/good heavies..... leave the big four out of it shall we.

    Briggs
    Golota
    Tucker
    Bruno
    McCall
    Mercer
    Akinwande
    Mavrovic
    Jackson
    Stewart
    Ferguson
    Dokes
    Schulz
    Moorer
    Botha
    Foreman
    Cooper
    Holmes
    Douglas
    Tua
    Ibeabuchi
    Morrison

How many of these does he beat..... :think

I get the feeling there'll be a similar discussion about Haye in ten years time, given how rabid some of his supporters are :hey

I agree Moe, in any other era he'd just be another contender. No more impressive than the early 80s squad of Dokes, Tubbs, Witherspoon and Weaver really.
