Whats up everybody. Any given fight Mercer can pull an upset, iron chin, stiff jab, good power. Cooney has the height a good jab and arguably the most powerful left hook. Who takes this? Can Cooneys hook dent Mercer's chin? Does Mercer outjab Cooney and batter him? I remember the first time I saw Mercer It was the Holyfield fight in the summer of 94 or 95, I was 10 and a huge Holy fan. From what I remember Mercer being knocked down in that fight was more like him taking a breather although he was eating shots. Thoughts? Both on their best night.
UPSET? Mercilous Mercer was a fighter w/ a great chin who fought anyone. Cooney was the biggest ***** in boxing history, who wouldn't even allow himself to be in the same city as Ray Mercer. Wow, I would not bet in this fight. If I had to pick I would go with Mercer. Cooney would be wrecking him but as soon as Cooney gets hit back and Mercer keeps standing, he could mentally start to doubt himself and that would do him in in the end. Conney without the mental block, I think would win every time.
