Matchroom have snapped up Okolie & Cordina with Buatsi and Fowler expected to follow suit. From what i've seen of Cordina and obviously Buatsi they look really good but not sure about the other two. How far do you think they can go?
Fowler will look good knocking out journeymen before being made to look foolish against anyone at a remotely decent level. He doesn't have the fundamentals to get passed Domestic or at a push Euro level imo. Has relied on his strength up until now.
I actually think Fowler could be the best of the lot. Can understand why people may mock that but I think he is much better suited for the Pro game than he is for the amateurs. Can't wait to see him go pro.
Buatsi and Okolie have not had that many fights so they have plenty time to improve and are still very fresh. Cordina is good to watch, I do wonder if he will be spiteful enough for the pro's though? A couple years back I thought Fowler could go on to become quite special, like a Carl Froch. However he was pretty outclassed at the Olympics. He will have a more suited pro style but I now have my doubts on how far he will go.
I'm sure Froch won either a sliver or a bronze at the world championships, being the first Brit to do so? All in all Fowler would have won more in the amateurs I'm sure.
Okolie = Has potential but I think he's too raw and chinny and in a very diffficult division. European Level Cordina= overrated by Hearn massively..He's good and has talent will never be nowhere near as good as Hearn claims.. Nothing sepcial in any department, doesn't punch hard. Another one that will get to European level max I think. Fowler = Looked exceptional around 2013/2014 times when he won World Championship Bronze and Commonwealth Gold. he has a similar style to Froch. If he can regain his form .. the Fowler of then could do big things. However he's strangely regressed since then.. has been off form the last couple of years.. and all the top guys will have a speed advantage over him as he's looked slow recently. Probably European/fringe world level but will be a big name/big ticket seller. Buatsi - the pick of the 4.. has improved a lot and is exciting to watch. probably should be a world champion. Pat Mccormack is the best of the whole GB set up imo but hes staying amateur the guy is a class act
