Boza at his best, was just below Arguello in the 130-135 lb range.

Would Boza's southpaw style neutralize Pacman's normal advantage over conventional fighters, and allow Boza to win a decision.

I lean towards Pac eating him up much worse than Navarette did myself.

    Good conclusion.

Not really sure...Bazooka Limon beat him in a good fight...stopped him on a body shot I remember.

    Boza!!!!!!!!!!

    A very underrated guy

Gave Arguello a very tough fight

Dropped down to 130 lbs. and outboxed and outfought the rugged Bazooka Limon

Punished and stopped a still very good Bobby Chacon

    But then.....

As a huge favorite, got cut over the left eye by Filipino Rolando Navarette, and then stopped by right hooks he couldn't see coming.

Navarette was a worse version of Manny.

If not for the horrendous cut, I think Boza would have stopped him.

Boza had the height and reach to box well against the relentless aggression of Pacquio

The problem is , he usually fought the shorter guy's fight.

He would probably go head to head with Manny.

He certainly had the power to hurt Manny, but would leave himself vulnerable as well.

I think Manny would get him with the right hook at some point

Boza is one of my favorite fighters - but I have to go with Manny by late rounds tko.

Good summary on Boza. His era included 6-8 fighters who could beat each other in a "round robin", and weren't afraid to fight each other.

And today you have ultimate "cherry picking" going on because they might
    actually lose.

Boza's penchant for brawling would not be good in this one. He's a bloody good fighter tho and would be giving all he had until he was stopped.

Boza against a hard-hitting, explosive southpaw Filipino........if only there were some template we could use to figure this out. :think

That is not entirely right, because you have to factor the horrendous cut Boza suffered against Navarette.

He was not hurt in the fight until after the cut - he couldn't see the right hooks coming.

    It's on you tube.

They come out of a clinch near the end of the 3rd round and Boza's face is a mask of blood

Boza hurt Navarette earlier in that round.

If Boza and Navarette fight 5 times, I think Boza wins 4.

Yes, Manny was better than Navarette and would likely beat Boza, but not just because of Navarette beating Boza.
