Makes sense to make it next. It would be a very entertaining fight. Both have heavy hands and like to go at it, neither has that much defense, should be a gd scrap. K9 a savvy veteran and Kirkland Is tough and tenacious.

battle of the sloppy bar room brawlers.....this would be ugly as ****, like watching a couple drunks swing on each other. kirkland is a bit less sloppy but has no chin so I'm not even sure who I'd pick. Hopefully loser retires that's all that would get me hyped on this fight.

Kirkland is a mexican Warrior with a tan.

that's the only explanation for him beating Angulo the way he did.

this fight needs to happen as far as i'm concerned. this has foty potential written all over it. I don't see why kirkland's handlers aren't angling for this fight, it's a title situation and a style clash that always seems to benefit kirkland.

wait, can you take a flush knockdown shot from alfredo angulo, then proceed to get up and beat him from pillar to post. nah, so if james isn't tough, what are you?

Kirkland is younger and more accurate.

For all his faults, K9 can punch with that right hand. He also can't fight on the inside for **** and relies on grabbing excessively. If K9 gets away with all the grabbing, he'll negate anything that Kirkland tries to do on the inside and I think he eventually walks James into a right hand at some point and takes him out.

Would love to see this fight. I'll take Kirkland by mid to late stoppage.
