    I think an incident like this is a reason why rehydration limits should be more common in the sport. A functioning 15-20lb weight advantage at that weight level is enormous and, in this case, dangerous.

    Hopefully Zerafa doesn't suffer too much lasting damage as a result of what occurred.

    That number just seems...off

    He's usually around 170. 182 seems weird.

    Reminds me of that time Matthyses weight was shown as in the 160s and it turn out to be an error

    I like how people are making a big deal out of this when Quillin does it but when Matthysse went up to like 163 in one of his bouts, people were like "It was fine, it's up to him what he wants he wants to rehydrate after he makes the weight of 140"

    It's a literal joke.

    Cornish looked awful in the video footage I saw of him, admittedly I only watched a few minutes of it though. He did look very poor in though.

    Yeah, that was definately a weird knockout. I've seen kos where guys were fencing or even had what looked like a seizure, but it was a direct response to the blunt force trauma, and it passed after a while and they managed to get up and respond ok.

    Zerafa's was so scary just because his reaction time was completely off, and he disn't come back to consciousness at all, like you said similar to the Simikov ko

    No pettiness at all. You just can't go boldly claiming that this fight was going to be competitive and then blame what happened on Al Haymon putting together a mismatch.

    It wouldn't surprise me. He did look thicker than usual but that figure does seem odd.

    Lucas was 153 for that fight you're talking about.

    I'd like as many matches as possible to be added same with Beastside, but get this straight I don't give a **** about the League in a moment like that. It was a very serious moment and I don't think it was appropriate out of you.



    Yes it was a Haymon's fault and just like I said the other day I was worried about Karpency in the Stevenson fight, this mismatching bull**** is going to get someone killed and yes it will be the man who makes these mismatches fault.

    It was the Mike Dallas Jr. fight.

    'Lucas Matthysse’s one punch, one round destruction of Mike Dallas Jr. was amazing, but did not come without controversy or questions. The first issue was raised when the trainer of Mike Dallas Jr., Virgil Hunter, had opposed to the taking of amino acids by Matthysse before the fight. The results of the post fight drug tests were negative. Matthysse stands firm that no matter what Hunter thinks, he is a clean fighter, and feels Hunter was just trying to get under his skin.

    “It was all a plan, head games, what I took was vitamins. Virgil Hunter was inside the dressing room when I was taking them. Everything was fine; it was basically Virgil trying to make me nervous,” Matthysse explained to ThaBoxingVoice.com

    The other hot topic was the unofficial weight on fight night. According to the Showtime unofficial scales, he weighed in at 163 lbs, something out of the ordinary for Matthysse, who has weighed between 151 and 153 for his last 3 fights. When the questions was poised for the big re-hydration and if there was any issue with him making the 140 lb Jr. Welterweight limit, Matthysse was surprised and stated, “No I didn’t weigh 163lbs; I weighed 153 lbs on fight night. There’s no trouble making weight. I ate well the day before the weigh in, and I make weight comfortably.”
