Corrie Sanders vs Samuel Peter..

Peter would smash him out at any point when this fight could've taken place. If 90s Sanders is included, he'd be a slight underdog but would have a realistic chance of out boxing Peter.

 

The Peter that fought Klitchko in the first fight, in my opinion would have waxed any version of Sanders...

I don't think Sanders never took the sport to seriously, he waited over a year to fight again after he KOD Klitchko, which was just plain dumb, he often showed up in big fights looking flabby, and in poor condition, he usually gassed out around the 5th round, he had a lethal left, but so what it's the heavyweight division a lot of guys can lay out others with one bomb..

If Sanders had dedicated himself more he would have been better but we'll never know...

Sanders was an amazing natural athlete.

 

Sanders was an excellent rugby player who was being recruited to national level competition, was an excellent youth sprinter breaking 11 seconds in the 100 meters in his teens and a scratch golfer.

As a boxer, he had uncanny hand speed for his side and gifted power.

Yeah, he was a non athlete.

The Peter of Klitschko vs. Peter I versus the Sanders of Klitschko vs. Sanders is a great battle.


The Peter of Klitschko vs. Peter II or later gets smacked around by most versions of Sanders.

 

I ve always wondered why Sander's career was stalled or didnt develop properly, from what I saw he was an awkward southpaw with extremely fast hands, good timing and a dangerous punch. He even had Vitali on rubbery legs very early on in their fight. I must assume he wasn't very dedicated to the sport, he seemed like a natural talent to me.

 

Peter could bulldoze a Sanders in bad shape pretty obviously but both at their best, Sanders is a notch above Peter as an athlete and a technician and a prepared Sanders is more durable than given credit for.

I didn't think it was a secret that Sanders preferred the golf course to the gym. Possibly only fought to subsidise his golf. But yeah, a natural athlete.

 

Sam Peter is just way too slow for Sanders, who fed off plodders like him especially in his younger incarnation. He'd have his jab in Peter's face all night long. Purritty seems more impressive to me than Peter, and Sanders pretty much did a paint job on him. Samuel's best bet would be to suck up the punishment (seems to me he had a pretty good beard judging by the Vitali Klitscho fight) and try corner Sanders later. Of course, whether he'd have enough gas left in the tank to finish the job after getting pounded in the early going is debatable.
