I have watched heavyweights since S**** Iron Johnson was fighting Sonny Liston, so watching a bum throw a jab & then clinch for 12 rounds is not my thing! hi:

He must have some jab to have a knock out record that he does, just from throwing that jab and clinching for 12 rounds

Wlad can not take a punch of Corrie Sanders, but his fighting style was retooled totally after the Brewster loss, with a 100% focus on controlling range and clinching up close. Like one of the previous posters said, Haye is probably a better fighter than Sanders with comparable hand speed and power, but it is very difficult to see how anyone can just rush Wlad these days with his ultra cautious fighting style.

Haye is not comparable to Sanders in the slightest.

Ktards think Haye embodies every HW from Ali to Corrie Sanders :nut

Sanders was tall . 6'4 and fought upright.

Haye fought out of a 5'11 crouch and leapt in constantly too low and out of range.

Wlad saw Haye's swings coming a mile off.

The distance between Corrie's straight left and Wlads chin is a lot smaller.

I said he is comparable in terms of hand speed and power, which he is. Their fighting style is not in terms of the overall fighting style. And my point regarding the cautious Wlad just clinching Sanders early on to prevent him being rushed still stands too.

I think some Mike Tyson's sparring partners were incredible dangerous.
McCall destroyed Lewis in the second round.
(Maybe Tyson helped McCall from the prison.:D)
    Nate Tubbs destroyed Sanders.
(I think Nate is Tony Tubbs' brother)
These Tubbs brothers smoke the klitschko's full carrier.:bbb

If you bothered to watch the Sanders-Klitschko fight, which many of you probably have not done, you might notice that when Klitschko was hurt he punched back instead of clinching. That wouldn't happen now that he has that Lennox Lewis tie-em up wear 'em down style ( which we thankfully didn't see too much of against Pulev ). To sum it up, Sanders shattered the "front runner" Klitschko. Now he's a different type of boxer.

So essentially what you are saying is Wlad hasn't the skills to out box Sanders to a victory?
Only excessive illegal mauling and clinching is the only way to see him through the the fight?
And this guy is meant to be a top 10 ATG?

I didn't see Vitali having to rely on holding to beat Sanders.

Sanders fought Tubbs the exact same way he fought Wlad. And he was stopped in the first roound.

Is what you're telling me is that Wlad needed a complete over haul , new trainer and reliance on illegal tactics just to be better than Nate Tubbs?

Wladimir will definitely be more cautious though he still won't expect Sanders(Rest in Peace) to be as fast as he really is. I won't be surprised if Sanders(Rest in Peace) hurts Wladimir early or at some point before eventually running out of gas and Wladimir fully takes over.

Wladimir now is far different than what he used to be. He uses his jab more often, studies his opponent, uses proper leg movement and never unleashes big bombs till he knows he has his opponent in a perfect position without being able to retaliate/counter.

OR he is arguing that a guy wlad who had been boxing for over a decade at least, and had won a world title, didn't know when to clinch.

which is a pathetic indictment of the terrible competition and route he must have faced to win his title in the first place. that terrible competition exemplified by defending (and losing instantly and horribly) against a retuiree who never won anything even when active.
