Did you even watch the Santos fight? This dude is an undercard boxer, a horrible one at that. Arum is just trying to make some money with in house fighters and get Cotto credible enough for one more big fight. He doesn't even have enough power to ko Santos, yet he's going to beat Cotto?

Boxing skills? Against who? Last I remember a crap version of Santos put up a decent fight.

Regardless of the state of Cotto presently, who is still a very good boxer regardless of only two losses has way more experience, a better corner, stronger, and more fluid with his skills.

I'm not saying Cotto won't lose, but not against this guy.

You guys are just making Foreman more than he is that when Cotto does beat him he'll be in the talks again.

Open you eyes. Foreman ain't fast. Foreman ain't strong. Foreman ain't worldclass. Foreman never fought an elite fighter. Foreman doesn't have a world class trainer. Foreman hasn't gone through adversity. This is a tune up fight nothing more.

 

I hope Cotto wins, and looks very good doing it. I am anxious to see if Cotto has maybe worked out a few bad habits with Steward. He was not even a huge welter, so of course after he moved up he couldn't just bully fighters. He's gotta be able to adjust, but that is something that maybe fighters are just born with. Most importantly should be Miguel's mental state. No matter what, I can't see Foreman competing with Cotto unless Cotto is seriously gone mentally and physically. More than from what Margarito did to him.

 

True that. I'm not trying to put down foreman or hate on him, but this is a tune up fight. And I'm also not saying Cotto is back or anything, as this fight won't tell us much until he faces a challenge again.

Also, the more people hype up foreman, the better Cotto will look once he beats him, which might not be so.

Why does anyone think Foreman can box his way to a decision. After watching Cotto for so many years when has he ever had trouble with a feather fisted boxer who is good on his feet? Never. Cotto eats those types of fighters up i.e. Malinagi, Quintana, Jennings. The only fighters to beat Cotto were punching machines with big power and killer instinct. Foreman looks nervous and not ready for this type of fight. Once he realises what he's up against he'll be running for his life
