Know but if cotto was to lose to floyd nobody would call him a bum. It just people can't stand hatton style. One thing you watch witter v lynes and then comeback and have a got at hatton which you duly will.

I'd be curios to hear from the people that said Hatton at any weight. 6 people voted but not one provided an explanation as to why.

I said hatton at 140 because he his an animal and cotto was definately weaker at 140 than 147.

Well yeah that seems to be the consensus for people picking hatton at 140. I don't agree but I can understand the reasoning. I just can't for the life of me imagine what would make anyone beleive that Hatton beats cotto at 147

Oh it would involuntary manslaughter if they fought at 147, because hatton can't carry the weight. But at 140 cotto was tagged a few times by torres and other fighters and unlike hatton they couldn't carry on the pressure unlike hatton would do.

Hatton may be a class above Torres BUT Torres is a harder puncher. Corley's shot was a well placed shot to the temple. Lets remember that Corley buzzed PBF also. So if peoples basis for stating these two incidents on a proposed hatton victory against Cotto then the argument is flawed.

Lets remember that Cotto also overpower and walked down his opponents at 140. Its not like he just started doing this at 147.

Hatton may be able to pressure better but I don't think that he has the punching power that Torres does or the craftiness that Corley does to get Cotto that hurt in the first place. Hatton is and always has been the kind of guy that wears guys down with steady pressure. Like I said before. The problem against Cotto would be that Cotto would be wearing him down right back.

Cotto is stronger at 147 but he was still strong as hell at 140

Oh that is true but I don't think cotto hit harder Koysta at 140, but understand were you are coming from. Would cotto be able to take the body shots of hatton because in a few of his final fights at 140 he looked like a skeleton.

So when he stepped up in comp against Tszyu he looked terrible? Or Castillo? Torres can bang harder than Hatton but that is all he has over Ricky. Hatton would beat Torres i am sure of it.

Hatton has compiled wins of bums overseas :nut Tszyu, Castillo, Collazo, Maussa, Urango and a fight with Floyd.

Take a look at Torres record pre Cotto is you want to see some WINS OVER BUMS.

Do you know 22 of Torres 32 wins come have over guys with less than 5 wins on there record! And Hatton fights bums? You pratt.

Your opinions seem to be very biased in Hatton's favor. How can you talk down Torres and talk up Urango in the same post. They are exactly the same level of opponent. A south american with a padded record that never beat anybody of note either before or after losing the biggest fight of their careers.

Of all the wins that you mentioned for Hatton the only one that I would consider a good win over top opposition is Tzyu.

For arguments sake lets agree that Tzyus right hand is more powerful than Cotto. If I remember correctly Cotto is a lefty anyways. What people fail to state when they bring the Tzsyu fight into the argument is that Hatton was able to effectively neutralize Tzsyu's right hand with all the inside fighting. I don't think that Hatton overpowers Cotto with that style because Cotto would make him pay. Cotto switches up and gives different looks to his opponent and would give Ricky more to think about then Tzsyu.

Let's look at were Cotto was in his career prime wise @ 140 to were Tzsyu was at his career prime wise.

And yes in his last few fights he was looking weight drained at the weigh-in but come fight night he didn't quite look a skeleton.

I was replying to someone who claimed Torres would beat Hatton all of the names mentioned were either leagues above or around the same level as Ricardo and all bar Floyd, Ricky beat fairly convincingly. It was also claimed that Hatton made a career out of beating bums so i named the biggest names on his resume which included a legend a p4p number 1 in Floyd a p4p 1-3 in Tszyu and Castillo who was near most peoples number 10 spot at the time of the Hatton fight.
