Has he earned or deserve the fight, no but he will probably get the fight anyway. A big name and another past prime stepping stone for Canelo.

This is true but we know it doesnt work like that, Cotto is a big name and casuals will not care that he lost previously, GBP does great job with Canelo this will add alot to his popularity, thats what they are after.

Would anybody put money down on Cotto?

Could see him winning if he comes in motivated.

I was MAD busy all day sorry for the late reply's.

I don't know about putting money on him.

But I will go into the fight fully believing he can win.

Understanding of course and completely comfortable with the fact, that he will most likely lose

I look at Canelo I don't see a monster. I do definitely see a smart tactician with a decent Jab, Power and Speed. He also possesses some exceptional poise and cagey veteran like boxing ability, especially for a 22 year old fighter.

I picked him over Trout and I have been a believer for a minute

To me there are no other more interesting fights out there. Floyd ain't never fighting Canelo, in my opinion, the kid comes in at like 171lbs on fight night.

Do I think he should or "has too" well, I think he should fight Canelo, but Floyd anin't gotta do nutin he don't want to do. Canelo already spoke out of turn and decided to fight Trout on his own card and that is going to hurt Floyd's pockets. Floyd is gonna say he don't deserve a fight with Floyd. He already talking about, 9/14 is his day, Canelo might be able to **** floyd off enough, that he fights him but unlikely.

Lara and Canelo is not as interesting as Canelo vs. Cotto.

Even if Cotto don't deserve the fight, don't you guys want to see it?

    you *****

Cotto and I are not Pussies'

Our favorite fighter will take the risk that a fighter takes and that Mayweather will probably not. It's simple supply and demand.

Because you are boxing star and you generate interest which translates to REVENUE!

Revenue means money for the Morons

In no way does Cotto deserve a Canelo fight lol.... to even suggest it forfeits any claim one could have at trying to be reasonable.

Now.... that being said, just because Cotto doesn't deserve the fight, doesn't mean it shouldn't happen right now.

Cotto is still a competent, relative fighter..... and now that Canelo did the right thing and fought Trout, Ive got no problem with him taking care of Cotto in a 'mega' bout.

Cotto is past it, but hes not shot.... and it would be a fun fight given that Canelo just took care of business with Trout.

Canelo vs Cotto, then Canelo can take on another 'peer' after that (young, prime fighter)

Would be a good fight and hope it gets made.

Why do people say cotto deserves the money? H has enough.. Fight would sell but like has been said he just lost twice. Canelo would beat the brakes off him

Cotto will be knocked out if he fights Canelo. No doubt about it.

Cotto should take one farewell fight in PR or MSG and call it a career. I love the guy. He's my favorite fighter of this era because he always fights top notch opponents: Mosley, Margarito, Pac, Floyd, Trout, etc.....

He's this era's true warrior. A man who fought for legacy. He'll get hurt in a fight he stands next to no chance in. He's better than that.
