I'm actually a cotto fan but its obvious you don't understand the business model of boxing. I don't blame Cotto for moving on, but he could have been a bit more classier about it rather than having TR, Canelo and GBP waste their time negotiating for fight that Cotto had no intentions on fighting.
Boy, don't tell me what I don't understand, and you're conjecturing when you say Cotto had no intentions. Maybeeeeee, they didn't come correct to Cotto at the negotiating table and he walked? Yeah, i'm betting that scenario took place. Afterall, boxing fans who didn't just start following the sport last year know what each man in the equation stands for and i'm siding with miguel on this one. Cotto has been a cooperative man his entire career and done what he was told, so now it's some me time for him. Deservedly so too. :good
I agree but you equated his business dealings with TR to that of slavery 160yrs ago. Reaching a bit? atsch
ive seen cotto fight 4 times live...3 times at the garden....against shane and martinez...both were pretty much sell outs and jam packed....michael jennings not so much but what did u expect...and then of course pac in vegas
Can someone give some background on what the dispute is, and what fighters dislike about working with Top Rank / Arum?
If you're a Floyd fanatic then you don't like Arum. Its that simple. Floyd doesn't like him therefore they don't like him either. Lately its the cotto fan boys jumping on the wagon.
Cotto is #2 at TR behind Pacquiao in terms of money. Nice try If you think Cotto leaving has to do with being jealous of Pacquiao, you're insane.
It looks like a lot of fighters don't feel he has their best interest at heart and don't get what they deserve. I don't think it's coincidental that so many boxers have an issue with him.
cotto feeds of crumbs compared to pac his highest payday was 10 mill cotto is butthurt he does not get enough attention
and even than he would not make more than 15 mill that was for sure and that fight wouldn't even break 1 mill
