Considering Margo and Clottey dropped their titles to fight him and that Mosley and Judah were never mugs, that's quite harsh, BB.

 

Same as Cotto is being to Hatton IMO.

 

Its no worse than the knots of logic Betty ties himself up into to try discredit Hattons career....

 

It's a very un-Cotto like thing to say (I've not read / seen it)

 

the reasoning behind what cotto said is imo due to the hype that pac has created by defeating odh and sensationally koing hatton, the press probably keep bringing this **** up during the pressers and radio stations and cottos statement really means that come fight night he will be a completely different level of fighter to the level hatton was on the night him and pac laced em up

 

I never said I agreed with Cotto- I just don't think BB has given him the credit he deserves. They are bitchy comments without a doubt and a tad out of character for Cotto, IMO. I've yet to see a source so I won't go mental about something that may never have been said, though. This did come from the general after all.

I never respond to Betty as that's what he craves- attention. It's easy to conveniently leave out the facts. It reminds me of that 'Murray is still fighting journeymen' thread the other day.

BB is a good poster, IMO, so I'm sure he only said it in gest.

 

Cotto is probably getting pissed off with being undersold in the fight as it doesn't really sound like something he'd just come out with. He was probably asked a question that lead to it.
