Some fighters are more susceptible to pugilistic dementia than others - Jake Lamotta took massive punishment in a long career but was still witty and coherent well into his 80's - Foreman took his fair share of punishment , especially in his 2nd incarnation and he's fine .

Meldrick Taylor was never right again after the Chavez fight - and was only a young guy , same as Bowe - they both showed bad effects of premature dementia well before you would have expected them to if at all.

There's been a lot of sensationalism going on as usual after fights where a fighter might not look spectacular so the timing can help legitimacy the article I guess. I've seen crazier articles posted on here before, I guess making a made up website should have immediately given it away but you just pissed everyone off with your post instead.

I have to admit, the quotes with Steward and Cotto didn't seem too far-fetched. Although, I've never seen Cotto go that religious before, and didn't ever believe he wanted to be P4P #1.

Is it me but Cotto keeps on winning everytime all these experts say hes done, hes past his prime, hes damage goods? The guys seems to box better everytime I see him. His improvement is seen with his footwork and his jab, from staying off the ropes to staying in the middle of the ring are steps foward, not backwards. Cotto lost to Margarito and that has ** and to one of the greatest fighters Manny that benefited from Cotto's lack of concentration from lawsuits to personal problems in his life. The fight was also rush him not even being fully heal from the Clottey fight to being force to fight at 145 with an inexperience camp where Cotto was basically calling all the shots and training himself. Injury he never wanted to share with his shoulder. Now you take all this info and you will say damn this guy is what boxing really needs, no excuses just straight cojones:good

-It seems these days a fighter can't afford a single loss without being "exposed" or "ruined."

-I was expecting laughs or the people who started the real "Cotto is done" threads to make idiots out of themselves. Instead I got several intelligent responses. Ha, who would have thought on this site, the way it's been lately.

-boxingnewsplace.com also write all those great Sir Bert Cooper and Michael Grant articles. shhhhhhh
