Cottos confidence was the beginning of me actually wanting to see the fight. Prior to that I wrote Cotto off completely myself. That was more confidence than tyson had, and perfectly relaxed. His camp must have went well, he must have something to really prove, and beleives he can do it.
That's the biggest thing with some guys Mayweather fights. I beleive they stand no chance (which is typically the case... Guys like Ortiz, of course Marquez style was all wrong/ to small, etc). They are good fighters, but they lack something key to beating Floyd, and a lot of them lack the confidence that they truely can beat Floyd.
I do beleive Cotto is out of his prime, and he did get destroyed by Manny, the Margarito fights were WARS (not what's going to happen here) so I really don't care, but overall he's an all round better fighter than Floyd's last 3 or 4 opponents.
He has size, can box, can go to war (willing to go to war), takes a pretty good punch, and if he can keep this confidence when things aren't looking well (Floyd is hitting him with accuracy, and he's missing shots himself) then I give him a good shot. He better get the KO though cuz NO WAY he gets a decision.

I think Miguel is as confident and ready as he can possibly be. I don't know if that is enough to upset Floyd or not. Most likely isn't but Miguel could put up a much better fight than many people think.

Man, I know one thing...if Cotto hurts Mayweather, this might turn out to be one helluva fight! One thing FMJ has shown is that he doesn't turn into a ***** when he gets hurt.

Is he supposed to be unconfident? Now that would be an awful sign.

People are so easily duped by "confidence" and 24/7. It's amazing.

I also like his confidence but is he not supposed to act that way in a mega-fight and against Mayweather? After all, they all did even when they didn't have a chance. I say that only a masterful young boxer who can take it and stretch Floyd to the end line can pull the upset and that is someone like Alexander the way he fought Maidana at 147 or even Amir Khan if he does get a beautiful revenge on Peterson which is questionable 2.
