Saying you're a tougher grader, right? If I thought he was at least a B+ 140 lber, and is much better at 147, then obviously that would mean A/A+ at WW, right? :deal

I'm not sure if I wasn't making myself clear, or if I just am not understanding you.

Agree with both your posts there. After watching the Sosa fight, i went and watched virtually his entire career. The guy has always been a boxer puncher, who adapts to the best style to beat his opponent.

I don't know why people always thought otherwise. His biggest problem apart from the weight though, is that he wasn't as INTELLIGENT a fighter as he is now.

I give him his credit and he deserves it. Great Job, but how could you say mayweather's in trouble, gomez doesn't compare to mayweather.

i rank cotto as an A fighter at 140 but i do agree he is better at 147. He got a better resume than floyd at 140 with beating current champs like torres and malignaggi and giving them their first loss

I think the HBO crew actually made a pretty good point.

They were talking about Cotto's win over Mosley giving him a big boost of confidence.

I think they are right, in that it showed Cotto's boxing abilities and he is more confident in boxing now. Even though it was a close fight, Cotto got the win over Mosley by boxing with him, not just winging power shots.

He could have thrown some sloppy haymakers and blasted Gomez out of there, but he was more comfortable boxing with him and letting the power shots come naturally when they are open.

He has become pretty well rounded.

I think he was grading him a B+ at JUNIOR Welterweight not Welterweight.

See, I only grade ability, not resume. That's why I refuse to have a p4p list or participate in any discussions of that format. :good

I agree, very smart fight. His speed is very underrated as well. I think he would be Mayweather's toughest fight. I still favor Mayweather by UD :yep
