I got the sky dish - so I hope I'm ok my sympathy's to anyone who can't see the fight live - whats the ****ing point in that - having a channel that don't let you see what you really looking forward to seeing on their channel:huh must be a wind up
I hope it's a wind up. Got Setanta on freeview 10 days ago and it hasn't been a great experience so far. The comments on the Setanta boxing page aren't really moderated at all, look at some of the abuse that gets through. Pretty shabby.
If you only have the freeview box then you won't get to see the fight ... Setanta on freeview cuts out at 0300. That is whay they come on air at 0300 instead of when the world feed starts at 0200. So that you don't get comfy with a beer and then everything on the screen goes after an hour. I found this out a few months ago. Something about the top-up tv channel they rent on only allows it a few times a year ... and then it might only be until 0500. Undercard is:- Bernanbe Concepcion (25-1-1) v Adam Cabrera (19-3) ... 10 rounds Mike Alvarado (21-0) v Cesar Bazan (48-10-1) ... 10 rounds Giovani Segura (19-1) v Cesar Cancila (26-1) WBA Interim Junior flyweight championship Then Cotto v Margarito But you probably won't see most of undercard because of this crazy 0300 thing they do ... all because of the Freeview box channel cutting out.
It's coming up in the programme guide as from 3am - 5am. Very shoddy flow of information from Setanta. Every future event is advertised as being on 'Setanta Sports' and it's only closer to the event that they either tell you it's on SP2 or not available to freeview.
It's really taking away from the atmosphere of the fight not knowing if I'll actually get to see it or not. It's ridiculous that we don't know for sure.

Can't believe they get away with this type of thing. Absolutely no regard for their customer base. The least they could do is keep people informed but of course then they wouldn't get suckers like me to subscribe. So the choice now is to catch a stream or the replay at 12 tomorrow...
