I think Cotto's anger will help him. You would think it would distract his focus, but he won't be intimidated (which would help an educated pressure fighter like Tyson) or overly aggressive (which would help a devastating puncher or technical counter-puncher), but just angry enough to rob Mayorga of his confidence. Beating Mayorga requires robbing him of his confidence. He is all smiles and wild swings before getting hit with something solid and being shown round after round you aren't gonna go away. Being a bit pissed off and eager to shut his mouth will help Migel. Besides, it's not like he's a glass-chinned outfighter. Miguel is a boxer-puncher with good offensive skills. Like Steward said, either out of the zone or inside doing damage is the way to fight Mayorga (not lingering in between). Between embarrassing Mayorga with his superior defense and potshotting, and smothering him while going to the body with combinations, Cotto's frustration will serve him well to put the clown away. Can't wait for this fight.
Yeah but hes fighting an old past mayorga.. cotto may get careless but mayorga is slow, cotto will recuperate right away. cotto will end the fight early by a body shot..:hi:
Yeah, but to be honest, Mayorga WOULD strike someone in a staredown. You have to be ready for ANYTHING in a press conference with that nut.
great! have to watch all these press conferences, can't miss a single one! I'm also happy that cotto is talking smack back. tired of watching fighters being all friendly and respectful and bff on press conferences, hype the fight mfkers.
