If it is a 5-7 dollar cover at the bar I will check it out. If not then no way. I will try to stream it.
I don' think it is worth it. Both guys are coming off a loss, and both are not fighting elite fighters.
Bars and such places pay by size/potential number of people they can cram in to watch it. I don't know, but suspect each 'head license' is considered a separate buy when they release the numbers. I wouldn't be surprised if Arum is counting mainly on this revenue from the stream. Maybe up to half the buys? Who knows.....
No they're not. They're just trying to play it off like that after Pavlik/Hopkins bombed so badly that they lost all sorts of cash. HBO is just trying to CONTROL the situation that thye helpd **** up. Personally I HATE the idea that this is PPV...but this is the creation HBO made and now we're ****ed over for it. Terrible.
In my opinion HBO should have just booked Pavlik/Rubio with a strong undercard last September. It was their refusal of Rubio that started the mad scamble for a fall opponent for KP. It seems to me that HBO wants to make money off boxing, but they are rarely willing to invest much in building stars.
Would love to chip in with some people here to watch it but all my friends have no clue who Cotto or Pavlik are fighting. Would be a waste and a broke ass college student like me cannot drop $45 to watch a fight by myself.
Anthony Peterson is out of his bout with Edner Cherry. They are bumping up some undefeated super middle. This sux.
