I think this is the right time for him to hang it up The torch has already been passed up He got no business at 147 anymore and he'll probably lose again
Trout's youth beat Cotto's experience. The Cotto time has long ended already (except for hype that is lol)
nah... guerrero's gonna beat him this time around. Few years back would have been more interesting :nono
Told ya guys... Tsk3 Btw, Foreman's beating Cotto's ass before that injury incident if you don't consider Foreman's backpedaling as a losing round for him :hat
Yep... Cotto should return to 147. Pac vs Cotto rematch at 147 . 150 is off the table so lets make it happen .
punching power is not the same as physical strength , cotto hit harder but trout was the bigger stronger man , come on now
Agreed! Trout caught Cotto with numerous right hooks and shots to the midsection as Cotto tried to bull rush in. They weren't super hard shots, but they consistently landed and zapped Cotto's strength a bit. Trout is just a really good fighter and a high risk opponent. I was surprised Cotto took on such a high risk, low reward fight.
Tbh i think Cotto would absolutely destroy him and stop him with a body shot Guerrero cant push him back against the rope and work on the inside Cotto's too smart for that and Guerrero cant outbox him
There is not much difference between 147 and 154. Look at all the great fighters what fought and held middleweight titles weighing 154-157. Cotto did great job showing heart coming back after Marguarito fight, a lot of guys would have packed it in or been gun-shy after that beating (with loaded hand wraps on Marguarito)
The younger version would have. But the current one? nah.. Cotto's best years have already ended imo, that even before his last fight happened I could even have said that too. :-(
He should put on a huge event in PR with high profile PR fighters on the undercard. The headliner Cotto vs Maidana! If Cotto has any left, he can win this. Maidana has been touched to the body before, and even if Cotto is done, he could close his career like the true warrior that he is. If he wins, he's back in the 147 mix.
