Yes....I think PBF can still beat Cotto. Cotto is getting better....and I don't think PBF can implement Mosley's plan, since Mosley is stronger than PBF and possibly stronger than Cotto.

Paulie is skillfull, but not elite. He also isn't dangerous. If Mosley starts coming forward, he is far more dangerous than Malignaggi. So for me, it was stunning to see him do it against Mosley.

Agreed...Mayweather would be using his speed on the outside and countering Cotto. You're definitely right in saying Floyd cannot implement Mosley's plan because unlike Mosley, he wouldn't have much success trying to stand toe to toe with Cotto. I would say this is a 55-45 fight in Floyd's favor. Cotto has as good of a chance as anybody.

But 2 years from now, if Cotto keeps improving, Cotto could be favored.

The point I was making is simple, Cotto had presedent fighting backward against fst hand boxers...given that Pauli is not SSM but he did had speed and was skillfull far more than many 147 boxers...

Regarding strenght, as I said, SSM is one har nut to crack, he hung in there with heavier and bigger boxers, and held is won...I will not say that he is stronger than Cotto since during the grapple it was clear tht no advantage was definitive for one or the other...we all know how tuff SSM is....always been...

Mosley is tough as hell, and still a great fighter at age 36.

This wasn't a young guy, beating up on a has-been with a name.

Mosley gave Cotto all he could handle, and at age 36 that says a ton about SSM.

I always respected Shane, dude is the classiest fighter/person of my generation, and if he had a better trainer, I honestly think he could have done more with his career. (Although I still think he loses to Forrest and Winky, just bad matchups for him)

No offense to Jack, he seems like a super nice guy, but you have to wonder what Shane could have become with someone like Roach in his corner, from the beginning.

On the other side of the coin, I believe in loyalty, especially to family, so I can understand Shane's reasons for keeping his dad.

I know the point you were illustrating. I was simply saying that the precedent wasn't nearly as impressive as doing it against Mosley.

Cotto did good. But Shane was 36 years old. Good win but not great.

SSM is ageless wonder...he will take care of any elite 147 except Cotto and PBF...and possibly Cintron...same type of boxer as Vernon...

Yeah, Mosley vs Cintron is not a great fight for Mosley. Cintron is alot like Forrest, but hits harder (alot harder) Never really noticed the similarity before.

Only to those who would want to discredit a Floyd win
