I seriously doubt that either of them wish to fight him. He's a true fighter in every sense of the word.
Margarito will fight anyone, he's in no position to turn anyone down. Team Cotto did remark recently though that there are other fights out there for Cotto that are more marketable for him than Margarito(i.e Gomez, Mayorga)
Everyone initially thought this is waste of Cotto's time. By I think its gonna be a gruelling test of Cotto's strength. He wins in my book, but he has to forget Mayweather and DLH cuz Gomez is gonna come in to win. Gonna be a great one and if Cotto had stars in his eyes he might loose. Cotto/Gomez war!
I also believe that it will be a better fight than most believe it to be. However, I do believe Cotto will come out victorious. Did any of you notice that Gomez keeps leaving himself with an excuse for a possible defeat. He kept saying "IF" he is 100% ready for the fight, then he will win without a doubt. So is he trying to say that if he loses, it will only be b/c he didnt train hard enough? Or will he give Cotto props and say he was the better man.
