This is no longer a matter of listening to a crackheads accusations. The whole world wants the fight to happen, and the only thing stopping this fight now is Pacquaio not accepting RANDOM blood tests. How is it RANDOM if Pacquaio wants to test once in jan, once THIRTY days before the fight and ONCE after the fight??
This is totally irrelevant, you're not a professional prizefighter and you're not participating in one of the greatest fights the world has seen. Professional athletes have to take tests.
I personally think Cotto is right on the money. They should start random blood tests in this fight and both participants should petition for new regulations for all future fights. In this way boxing wins and both combatants can be seen as more altruistic. However, I fear Manny's pride may impede this. I really hope it doesn't because it would be a great payday for Manny and a great fight for us fans.
Funny.........start a set of new rules for Pac and nobody else. Void is afraid and Cotto was defeated.
Get your facts straight..here is the article and what Victor conte had to say: http://www.doghouseboxing.com/DHB/Kim122509.htm ...EPO's and Blood doping are a more signifigant issue here. Look the bottom line is, at this point Pacs only alternative here is to subject himself to the olympic style drug testing, fight Mayweather, whup his a** (if he can, but that is an entirely different conversation) then if clean, follow through with the law suits. This may be something Mayweather conjured up , however it would have been a non-issue had Pac just agreed and signed the contract. IMO Pac has destroyed his own reputation. Mayweather gave him rope and a chair.....Pac is hanging himself. This is now larger than Petty Mayweather, now about half or more of the boxing world is exteremly suspicious. He may have an * next to his name in the record books, if he does not comply.
In fairness, the cops can't even administer a breatalyzer unless they see an open containter or unless they smell alchohol on your breath. The second paragraph is spot on and highlights the problem with Pacquiao's stance.
Where I live police can conduct random breath tests for alcohol and other drugs. No need for anything to raise their suspicion. However, the deal is that this applies equally to everyone on the road. What Pac is requiring is the same deal - the one that applies to everyone equally. Using your analogy, the tests done by the police would be the equivalent to the tests done by the Nevada boxing authorities. I.E. they are the established testing methods of the recognised authority and they apply to everyone equally. Further, using your analogy, can you then imagine if the police set up a "random" testing station outside your house and "randomly" tested you constantly as you went to get into your car? That's what has been proposed for Pacman. In that situation you too might get annoyed. Whether it comes down to your pride or whatever, you would have the right to be annoyed about it.
Clottey defeated him if you wanna put it in those terms. But I agree with the Puerto Rican Warrior part.
