 Fortunately, that's not his blood. He's from another father.

Miguel's boy was the one roaring ringside in the Marg rematch.

his head is going to come forward if he's throwing but it's the position when he's not throwing that counts.

no. miguel is very good at creating openings. marquez isn't great at leading. he's more of a counter puncher than cotto. cotto has no problem initiating exchanges. plus he's a naturally bigger guy than marquez.

Nope, been following the sport for 18yrs. now. Like I said, Marquez is a great counterpuncher,(and yea he puts together good combinations) and does that probably better than any other boxer. But he has his limitations and he's not versatile because if he was, than he wouldn't loss the fights that he did.

the weight drain game, lack of a real trainer...and him coming off the margarito loss also worked very well in pacs favor.

This is exactly what I was trying to tell him. Cotto is also a good counter puncher(not as good as Marquez obviously) when has to be, and that's why he's more versatile than Juan Manuel.

I'm not gonna buy into the weight drained thing(you could possibly be right about it though because he didn't seem to take Pacquaio's punches as well as he did a Shane Mosley) but I do agree with you about the other points.

he's definitely more versatile than jmm. he can fight going forward and backwards. he can lead and counter. he switches stances seamlessly. he does a lot of things jmm cannot do.

Don't backtrack now, you just said "Marquez is nothing but a counter puncher" which is complete madness. You sat there trying to explain why Mayweather can't deal with combination punching even though he's nullified pretty much everyone he's fought offense and made one of the best combination punchers in the game look amateurish at times. I like Cotto, but he's gonna have to do something special to best Mayweather, but your crackpot theories are not helping your argument.

    u don't have to...but i have a theory based on some observations....

his whole reign since the dlh fight has been about the weight drain game. hell...it may even go back as far as the morales rematches. the thing about it for me...the ricky hatton fight. according to roger mayweather...hatton was not allowed to gain more than 5lbs after the weigh in to the day of the fight. did they have a second weigh in? why would he say such a thing? if it's true, why wouldn't ricky hatton speak out against it? could it be a non-disclosure contractual agreement?

if u know anything about dehydrating to make weight...it's the fight before the fight and actually diminishes a fighter significantly. restricting how much a fighter is able to rehydrate is also diminishing. it explains a lot to me.

dlh weighed 145...a weight he had not been at in almost 10yrs.

clottey actually looked smaller than pac in the ring. clottey is a guy known to gain 15-20 lbs after weigh ins. he gave the excuse that he had diarrhea the night before the fight. ok.

margarito was trying to drink **** right in the locker room prior to stepping into the ring. what was that about? it was almost as if he was trying to make a silent statement. (non-disclosure contractual agreement)

he wouldn't rematch cotto unless cotto came back down to 147. he just fought margarito at 150. very telling imo.
