I think Cotto will win by decision. I think he's the better boxer, the more rounded boxer with the edge in speed. A lot of the time when Clottey is in a shell is going to be wasting rounds, I think the rounds are going to slip by. And I just don't see the intensity or pressure fighter in him thats going to really wear Cotto down in time over 12 rounds.

I used to say Clottey by decision..but im wondering if Clottey can land something to shake Cotto up...I mean Zab Judah and Demarcus Corley both shook Cotto up...I know Cotto is better at 147 than he is at 140 but Zab at 147 (who doesn' hit with great power) wobbled him so I think Clottey can too and finish it!

All I'm gonna say is that there are so far 25 idiots on this board for picking Cotto by KO/TKO.

If Margo walked through his shots (and yes I think Clottey's chin is better than Tony's) then what do you think Clottey will do when he has a better chin and MUCH better defense??????!!!!!??????

This here is one of the biggest myths in boxing, Cotto's never been dropped
By a punch yet his chin is suspect?

Cotto got rocked by Chop Chop, sure but he never hit the canvas, it was a good counter he never saw coming that threw off his equilibrium, many fighters have been rocked by similar shots...**** Floyd took the same shot from Corley and got rocked

Another myth is the that he got dropped by Torres, when that didn't happen either, any1 who didn't just check boxrec or listen to **** from hater knows that Cotto got thrown to the ground after he got punched, even Foreman pointed it out when it happened, plus there's know shame in getting hurt by Torres seeing as he arguably the hardest puncher in the division

as for the Judah fight he got hit with some beautifuls flush counter uppercuts, and stayed on his feet

And as for the AM fight he got the beating of his life and only took a knee, and though his corner threw in the towel he didn't get KO'd like people made it to be

Now I ain't saying this mans got know granite chin, cuzz he can certainly be hurt, but to say he's shits suspect after taking shots from big punchers like Torres, Margarito, and Mosley and never getting put on his ass is ridiculous

If he has a suspect anything I'd say it's legs

Look, as much as im a huge Cotto fan, i still have my two feet on the ground. Lets be real, the truth is, if cotto hasnt learned how to clinch or gotten the idea through his head that he's NOT going to KO Clottey(the man has a excellent chin)then I see him winning by decision. Otherwise it's going to be Margo-Cotto all over again. Cotto can't outpunch himself like he did against Margo because this time he's going to be really wasting his time due to Clottey's defense. On the other hand, if Clottey comes and fights the way he did against Judah, he ain't going to beat Cotto. So, im rooting for Cotto but i can see Clottey winning as well.

It appears that it will happen....Clottey is running around hyping the fight
    as if it is inked.

All I will say to Clottey is be careful what you wish for....especially for someone being so tight, stiff, upright and slow starter as himself.

I'm just curious what excuse he will make after this loss?

It's surprising to me that so many more people see Clottey winning by stoppage than by decision.

I'm not talkin bout him gettin dropped..I'm talkin bout him gettin wobbled...Those other fighters couldn't close the show...Clottey might be able too..and it may have been a push but cotto was clearly trying to hang on...I'd say it was a legit knockdown..only video i could really find on youtube....but look at how easy he gets wobbled by Torres, Zab, and Demarcus..Shane had him a tad shook up in the 9th or 10th as well! I juss think Clottey can close it if he catches him!

I've given you my reasons yet you still take what I say out of context. Go back a read my other responses and you will see that I was referring to only SOME people who underrate Cotto not because of styles or substance but instead do so because they believe he's not capable of beating any elite fighters and that he's not an elite fighter himself. I'm not addressing the majority but rather the minority who think this of him. :deal

For one . . . I'm not one of those who voted for T/KO or KO . . . but you don't call these people idiots just because they don't see it the way your
    This content is protected
    sees it.

Stop hating on Cotto . . . and use your brain. Check your statement . . . "IF" . . . "WHAT DO YOU THINK" . . . and you're branding people idiots based on your insinuations?

I'll mark your arrogant ass . . . and if Cotto wins . . . I'll be looking for you all over this forum and hand back your bullcraps to you. :deal

It's because of Cotto's "suspect chin"

Allow the myth to survive...his fighters will continue to make this mistake that he's made of glass and leave themselves wide open for hard counters because they want to apply the pressure.

We'll see what Clottey has to say when it's all over and done with. Cotto isn't Judah and definitely isn't a blown up Corrales. And he's much better than Baldomir.
