    You are ******ed.

I simply said Cottos body attack is better then Hattons.

That doesn't change the fact that Cotto would get owned like a ***** by Floyd.

They both have a one dimensional body attack. LOL. So I would say neither. Cotto throws the left hook, double and triple. Shane took that punch away from him during the fight. Unfortunately for Shane he got hit with everything else. Hatton only has that left hook and sometimes he might get a right uppercut to the ribs, depends on how he has his guy wrestled against the ropes. Floyd is the better body puncher out of all of them. He has some body punch KO's and he breaks EVERYBODY down with a body attack. His lead left jab is like a baseball bat and usually bends the other guy in half. His str8 right hand to the body where he gets crazy leverage and throws his body weight in it is lethal. He also can hook with both hands to the body with accuracy.

I couldn't agree more. Sadly, people seem to be impressed by Hatton and Cotto KO'ing cans with body punches. Both Hatton and Cotto recently faced their best opponents. Neither one of them were able to do much to the body. The reason has to do with what you already said. All Floyd and Mosely had to do was look out for the left hook to the body.

    Ok, let examine that statement:

PBF v. HATTON: Hatton came in thru the front door to attack the body, eating 1-2 combos everytime, hard punches tht snapped his neck back....to try to go to the body with nhis high volume, the inside fight belongs to the stronger guy, whowmas the stronger guy ...clearly PBF was, he was fighting a 140 lbs.....sure his body is great..I already mentioned, that's why he is a grat all around boxers..

SSM v. Cotto: Oppositte to you assesment, SSM did't take the left hook to the body from Cotto in fact the issue was that Cotto was doubling the jab and hook to the body combos, it was not his high leverage punches becuase Evangelista clear plan was not negate the speed of SSM, which they did, and if you watch the fight you will notice that SSM plan was clearly to grab and grab everytime Cotto was coming in...sure he denied the left hook inside with high leverage from Cotto, but the reason was not for good boxingmanship but clear grabbing grabbing and grabbing...thats the real reason tha the left hook was not an issue..yet Cotto shows he can fight differently and win....

    Wow, fanboy much?

There was boxing before Floyd, there will be boxing long after Floyd, and there is even boxing outside of Floyd right now, imagine that.

As for the question I think Cotto has the better single shot with his left hook, and if you only had one round you would be better off with Cotto.

Over the course of a whole fight however, I think Hatton wears down his opponents more and more as the fight goes on.

As someone pointed out you have to take into consideration that Cotto appears to be able to be a full fledged welter and is bigger than Hatton, whereas Hatton is pretty much a jr welter.

I fail to see how this invalidates my point. Both Floyd and Mosely took active measures to take way their opponents best weapon, you even admit this.

    Because I know Orishman.

He is trying to get people to sway on his side and praise Cotto, to further try to fuel his argument that Cotto will beat Floyd. But I caught him before he could do it.

Of course boxing will be here after Floyd is gone. We've got Manny Pacman and Kelly Pavlik, along with a lot of other up and comers.

Cotto is a good body puncher, but it takes more than being a good body puncher to beat a complete fighter.
If you're fighting someone who obviously don't like it to the body then you would want a good body puncher in the fight.
Oscar De Lahoya showed he soesn't like it to the body. Hatton showed in round 8 with Mayweather that he doesn't like it to the body.
Mayweather on the other hand didn't show anything in the Hatton fight that would make me so o.k the way to beat him is to the body bring on Cotto.
I have never measured their powere but I'll say Cotto punches harder than Hatton to the body
But he should not expect Floyd Mayweather to lay down and punch the mat until the 10 count should he land a xouple of them.
HE better be prepared to bring someting else to the table against a complete fighter.

Yeah you know dip****.....ONE LEFT HOOK :lol: ONE DIMENSIONAL. Show me Cotto getting to the body with any other punch effectively and I will show you another fighter that can land EFFECTIVE jabs and str8 right hands to the body from range and in close distance.
