Not too many fighters can recover from two brutal ass kickings. Sadly, I doubt Cotto does.

As it is, he didn't look the same after the Margarito fight.

He's doing the right thing by moving up in weight!! Get away from those sharks. Restablish himself at 154 and win a belt. Make a couple of defenses, then have another megafight at 154

Cotto has some great accomplishments and has faced some great opponents. I think he's got the skills to beat Yuri Forman, mainly because Forman is not a heavy hitter. I d think Cotto no longer has the ability to withstand shots from a serious puncher like Cintron, Berto, or Mosley ( if they were to rematch).

I'm not disappointed in Cotto, he's shown serious heart and sportsmanship in his fights. Only two losses is not bad at all, specially when you look at his opposition.

he needs a new team. His team sucks his balls too much with no technical advise. Then his daddy dead now, he needs a new environment to regain focus and fortitude

Definetly he's not the same since the Margo beating, but when you reach a high level in boxing you need to be open and explore all the positive options for your carrer and Cotto is stuck in his arrogance; he haas the oportunity to hire an A caliber trainer but his arrogance didn't let him do it.

He's one of my favorites to watch. Fights hard whoever they put in front of him and never has excuses for losing/always gives props to his opponent. Nothing to be disapointed in

We saw Cotto's flaws on the way up. Shaky defense, and though he has a ton of heart, a shaky chin (though admittedly from his shaky defense).

He was destined to have a short career with his style, and being punched hard in the face so many times.

Still, nothing to be ashamed of, he has some great wins and was a legit world champ.

A loss to the best fighter in the world and to someone who may of cheated? No shame at all in that. Its not a dissapointment to rise that far in your career. Wins over Judah, Clottey, Mosley, Malignaggi, Quintana, Gomez there very respectable oppenents. In my eyes Cotto has had an outstanding career. Roll on the 12th June.

I'm not bashing the guy and saying "HE let me down", at one point in time I thought he would "blow through" and demolish guys like Pac and Clottey and Margarito. there was a time where I really thought the only guy at WW that could beat him was Floyd. Now he is more of an ordinary fighter to me. I have seen him get broken in the ring. And not only in his losses, I saw Mosley and Clottey break him partially as well and make him retreat, luckily he was able to salvage those victories but the lasting impression of them standing toe to toe with him and making him take the step back is still in my mind.

He just never wanted to develop to the next stage. He was there momentarily during and after the Mosely fight.

He just lost something and also he needed a top notch trainer.
Its his stubborness and machismo that ruined his career i believe.

He can still come back and dominate but i see something missing in him now.

The Margarito fight seems to have broken his spirit as much as it has physically which is a great shame

Years from now people will greatly miss Cotto. He is a very humble, very entertaining fighter and has done all that he could for the sport of boxing. His name will be remembered in a great light. We should all support him in his final bouts in boxing because there will never be another Miguel Angel Cotto jr.

Seems like Top Rank did there upmost to see him lose at times. Mosley, Clottey, Margarito, Pacquiao. Now moving him up to 154.
