Yea, i'd imagine something along the line, nothing major. As for Miguel's defining moment, definetly has to be the Mosley win IMO.
Thanks for your input Montero. Nice breakdown. Yeah I agree it won't take long after he retires to see him inducted as into the hall of fame.
EARLY CAREER: -Getting up off the canvas to stop an undefeated Torres. MID CAREER: -Beating a much fresher version of Mosley than May/Pac did. LATE CAREER: -Revenge against Margacheato GREATEST STAND: -Pushing Mayweather further/harder than anybody before and busting up his face, all while many media/fans considered him "shot", "finished", etc. Cotto will be in the hall of fame on the first ballot exactly five years after retirement. THIS EXACTLY
Miguel's performance against Floyd definitely should get him some respect and credit. But I don't think it would be considered a "career defining" moment. Mainly because at the end of that night he came out with another loss to his record. But, I do understand what you mean carnal. :good
The revenge over Margarito, was really mentally important for him,i think. And his incredible performance against Mayweather put him back up among the very best fighters atm. NOBODY have gived Mayweather such a hard fight IMO.and he should have a lot more credit for that than he is being giving... He seems to become better over the last years, even though he already have been in tough wars, and have fought top elite competition for many years!!! He is nr.3-5 on my p4p list this year!!!
Not quitting against Pacquiao. Many still call him a quitter but he is not one. Yes he was backpedaling but he was looking for a way to fight back. Standing in front of Pacquiao was not the key. After that fight he started to rebuild himself and he look mentally strong. Definently stronger then before. The Trout fight will really show us where Cotto is right now.
Take it down a notch. We get that you are 100 % behind your mexican brothers but sheesh. Who are those fans you speak of ?
People don't understand how bad Mayweather was whipping on Cotto, he hit him with everything but the kitchen sink in the 1st 5 rounds, and he kept coming forward adjusted, and showed Mayweather that he could take things up a notch and switch gears to that elite level also
