really? because putting maragrito on that list, and then describing said list as all good wins for cotto does what?

If Cotto had beaten Margarito that night he would have been my P4P 1. Guy was just getting dangerous.

my whole point is, cotto has never beatin a reigning, defending champion. Putting him in the top p4p without that is pretty ludicrous for me. He also (other then mosley) hasnt beatin a top p4p fighter either.

The belt means **** all, it's the quality of opposition that matters and Cotto passed that test on more than one previous occasion !! The best one being against Mosley for me. :hat

its not about the belts as much as it is the guys wearing them. A fighter who has defended his title multiple times has usually proven himself as a good fighter. He has a certain aurua around him as a champion, a strong man. Cotto has never been able to beat a man like that. Maybe because he hasnt gotten the oppurtunity, but just because he hasnt gotten the oppurtunity, that dosent mean he would do it.... Look at hwo he got his ass kicked by margartio

vanilla **** off. Cotto's the best in the division.
Compared to other top 10 welterweights he's fought the toughest opposition so give him a break

no sir. the best in the division is sugar shane mosley. The man who whipped the ass of the number 1 in the division at the time(margartio). Also mosley was already in the hall of fame before cotto even turned pro. And cotto only beat him by a round or 2 in a fight were mosley was backing him up in the championship rounds. Best in the division my ass

I mean he's still got a good resume either way. It's not necessarily any ones fault. He's also never unified(obvious cause he's never beaten a defending champion". It is a little unusual though at his stage to have never done it.

But the Mosley victory by itself is as good a victory as any current welter. Especially given Shanes current position. The war with Marg, wins over Judah and Quintana. He has been proving himself against the men in the division.

All I care about is his quality of position. And it's top notch.

As long as PW is around... and he is, Cotto won;t be the best at nothing in the WW.

Some of you Cotto-freals need to get that **** through your thick-ass skull. Cotto isn't the best until he fights PW and rematches Shane outside of MSG

Neck. You gave the Cotto-Mosley fight to Mosley? Or just saying they need to rematch?

The first one wasn't Margarito, Cotto was the defending WBA Champion going into that fight. Margarito lost his WBO title to Williams two fights before that and the IBF title he got from Cintron wasn't on the line in this one.
