I'm a big MMA fan but anyone who thinks Conor could do well in boxing doesn't understand either sport. He'd get washed by anyone in the top 15.
Conor has all of the natural talent to be great but it takes a lot more than that and he wont achieve it. Anyway, the boxing licence is probably for some kind of loophole or as a tool to get Dana to offer Conor equity in UFC.

Boxing in MMA isn't comparable to "real" boxing. Conor's best boxing performance was arguably against Diaz in their rematch but he was only successful because of the leg kicks. Even the threat of the takedown completely changes the stance, distance and timing of your punches. This is like saying a basketball player would be successful in the NFL because he can throw a ball.
I'm staggered people who follow boxing can fail to grasp the skill-set required to even get remotely close to contending for a world title. Sure CM knows the basics of boxing, but really. Please, be serious....
As the weights get heavier you can get guys late to the game that can perform at high level The lower weights its super rare. As it all boils down to technique and experience which takes years to craft. Most guys his weight will have had up to 100s jnr am fights and earnt their stripes I mean you can basically do wwe then be the top 5 in world in mma in a few months transition
