A 26 years old Michael Moorer at 34 - 0 wasn´t better than Walcott or Moore near their 40s? What in hell are you :drink: ?

Moorers record is pathetically thin in comparison With Walcott Archie Layne or Charles.

I was not implying Marciano was afraid of Liston 1st off so relax. I read it somewhere about the rumors. I also read Marciano was smart enough to realize the wars he was involved in were taking a tremendous toll on his body, and he knew he couldn't continue to train with the intensity he was accustomed too and he decided too hang em up. I read that somewhere too, but I'm sure that rumor is ok for you.

Better than a 30 year old 32-0 Faruq Saleem too

Age and raw record say very little about an opponent's overall ability.

Steroids don’t give you skills or an iron chin, he’s still great without the ped’s, just look at him at cruiserweight

If he can stay healthy and focused for the right amount of time then yes. I think Evander paired up nicely with a lot of the top men of the 1950s. I don’t see him losing to Marciano, Walcott, Patterson, Valdez, Johansson, Machen or aging versions of Louis or Charles. A Young Sonny Liston around 1959 might be his biggest obstacle

Getting to 49-0 in that time frame can create a lot of injuries. Evander took a lot of stuff during his bodybuilding..if he fought that often While he was putting his body through all that, the wear and tear could have been phenomenal. And if Evander didn’t do that, if stayed a 177lb guy who knows how much better Or worse he could have been?

nobody avoided Liston in the 1950s. Marty Marshal fought him 3 times. Summerlin fought him twice. Whitehurst fought him twice. Williams fought him twice. Sonny was always behind Ingo in the ratings. I think Sonny was rated 9 in the rankings when Ingo was number 1. Even in 1960 Liston landed fights with all the top contenders Machen Folley and Harris. It’s a different decade.

you can’t say that unless you know what Rockys opponents look like on PEDs?

nobody knew who Liston was around the time Rocky retired in 1955. Then Sonny went to Prison and disappeared until 1958. This “rumour” is no stronger than a one about Sonny being locked up to protect Marciano.

if we take the absurd “Would he have PEDs” talk out of it and just take him how we saw him he would do it with ease honestly.

It wouldn’t be very competitive at all.

People need to stop saying things without research and read into the sport they apparently follow a lot more.

I was thinking the CW version of Holy, but it's quite likely he was on PEDs then also, of course.

    I don't think he can.

Marciano posed a specific problem for the slicksters, overwhelming them with aggression and volume. Holyfield sometimes struggled with guys that had top notch boxing skills. I'd pick Marciano over cruiser Holyfield too. The HW version of Holy was a product of PEDs and he'd not have access to that in the 50's afaik.

He'd probably do it but take into account Holyfield had bad days and styles make fight s.
If he has the second Bowe fight mentality thru out, then yes he can do it.
