How? McClellan was an American stylist - hands low, fancy feet, range-finding jab and loading overarm rights Kessler was a European stylist - hands high, stiff one-two's and compact right uppercuts
I would take G-man. All the talent around Calzahge's prime wated on no hopers. Who is to say what Cal would have done on this level.
Calzaghe wasn't a very good boxer, he just came forward throwing a load of slappy punches... McClellan liked to circle opponents and keep them occupied with a nice jab to head and body -before timing the overhand perfectly when he had the right space, following with a hook to body or head regardless of whether the overhand landed... difficult to make a case for Joe stylistically here, and Gerald was sooo heavy-handed....
If the. Fight went something simpler to the Kessler fight he would have tKO Joe. Can u think of what damage gman would have caused if he hit Joe with anything close to Kesslers uppercut that stunned Joe
Im going with the G-man. Early round ko. There is a chance that Calzaghe whethers the storm though, but he tended to be susceptible to right crosses during the early quarter of a fight - Terrible flaw when you are facing a murderous puncher like Gerald
If Joe pulled out of the Johnson fight more then 2 times I think he would not go through with fighting a beast like gman
Calzaghe would have beaten G-Man.He was just a better fighter.McClellan and his great rival Benn are both overrated on these boards.Calzaghe would have handled Benn, too.
