    if it was a close fight that ended with a decision there would be some worth arguing about the finer details but hatton got brutally ko'd because of his charging in style combined with no defence, a more hatton-friendly ref or smaller ring or whatever wouldnt have changed that

    The answers are ===
    1) no
    2) no
    3) no

    Unless Hatton can go the distance and buy 2 out of 3 judges.

    Exactly Ramshall.

    Those three factors overcame Tszyu, why not Mayweather?

    Tzyu was 34, physically not the same specimen that he once was. He could not handle Hatton's huggy bear physical style. Mayweather is in his physical prime and has proven that he can beat Hatton at his own game, as he dominated him on the inside as well.

    Tell Tszyu he was past his prime in that fight - he will take it personally and smack you in the mouth.

    Tszyu was a lot stronger than Mayweather - Hatton just didn't doggedly harass him all night as he did Kostya, which is what having a **** of a ref and fighting in Vegas influenced.

    It's really a boxing match...but when the ref did let the go Floyd beat Hatton at his own game...

    Floyd is rated #1 for a reason...

    So you are saying Kostya was still in his physical prime when he fought Hatton?

    Floyd was outlanding Hatton easily on the inside, not only that but he saw everything coming from Hatton, even in clinches Hatton coudlnt land a thing. Hence the comment from Ricky that Floyd is better inside then he anticipated.

    Let me make something clear to ALL OF YOU WHO DONT GET IT. FLOYD IS MUCH BETTER NOW THEN ZOO HAS EVER BEEN !!!!!! AND BOXING HAS RULES !!!!!!!

    140, lax refs, larger british crowd, bought judges... nothing would get Ricky a win.

    I would never discount hatton winning a rematch... but i dont think the things you mentioned would change much of anything. Hatton gave mayweather plenty of tough moments in my eyes, and if he used his jab more in a rematch maybe he could do a bit better... but for the most part i think weve seen what happens when hatton fights mayweather, regardless. at 140.. their demensions are still going to be the same.
