Could Hearns realistically KO Tyson circa 1990-91

Hearns would lose, but Hearns mentioned Mike losing to 200 and then he would fight him. I still think Hearns could last a couple of rounds with the 220 pound Mike. Not if Tommy fights stupidly, but I assume he would know this is Tyson.

Hearns is my favorite fighter but he couldn't win even if Mike was weakened. Tyson would practicaly have to be on a death bed.

I don't think there's a "good possibility" Hearns would get a couple of rounds into the fight either or have success fighting defensive or using his reach. There would be virtually no chance of Tommy hurting or stunning Tyson.

Tyson would walk thru Tommy, absolutely walk thru him. So he should too.

How on earth would Hearns keep Tyson off him? It wouldn't matter what he tried to do. A single grazing blow and it's over.

Whatever or whenever Tyson lands, the fight is over, could be 3 seconds could be 30, but it doesn't get out of the first round imo. Worst fighter in the history of Boxing to put Hearn's in with, ****ing animal from the off. Tyson rips apart men that rip Hearn's apart

I am relying on Hearns being great to use the jab and know he cannot be hit by Tyson. Hearns would have to use his jab and fight a similar fight he did to Duran, and it is tough. But I think he can go two rounds. It just an opinion, which could be based on favoritism to Hearns.

If anything got Hearns it would be bodypunch, but I do think Hearns could avoid the punches to the head for a little while. 2 rounds? I think he could do that. If he fought the right fight. This is not even talking about knocking out Tyson. This is lasting 2 rounds?

With no power or strength to keep a heavyweight Tyson off? There's no such thing as the right fight for Tommy and noway on earth he doesn't get hit to the head early against a 220 pound ATG with scorching handspeed, fast feet and immense early aggression.

An absolutely massive punching light heavyweight in Michael Spinks did not carry enough power up to remotely bother top chins like Holmes and Tyson up at heavyweight.

Sorry but it just doesn't cut the mustard for me.

Hearns could be a totally different fighter when he wanted to be. He was hit a lot by Roldan and people might say well he was hit by Roldan, then why wouldn't Tyson hit him. But I don't think he can and would fight that fight against Tyson. He couldn't. He would have to punch and hold and jab... the jab would be the key.

Come on. What did Hearns ever do to you OP? Tyson would literally kill Hearns dead and send him to Bolivian.

Hearns had no legs to even run from tyson at this point. Look at what Barkley did to him. Tyson easily bulls him to the ropes and KO's him through his guard or breaks his ribs.

30 seconds if Hearns tries to win, 2 minutes if he fights to survive from the beginning.

    Horrible style match up

Haglers pretty much walked through and beat down Hearns. Tyson would be way worse. Hearns wouldn't get up.

I think we have officially found a winner for the single dumbest question in the history of boxing message boards.

PernellSweetPea LOVES Hearns so can understand his bias.

I agree with others that Tyson gets him out of there quickly.

Tyson's head movement was weak by 90 as Rooney was gone, but Tyson would walk through Hearns jab to get inside and Hearns would not have the strength or legs to hold him off. And of course doesn't have the chin to survive once he takes a clean power punch from Mike.
