You are right, but also they will punch a bit slower meaning easier to block/move/slip. Khan has to step up now and show the world he can fight people his own size he cant keep fighting smaller guys all his life.

If you remember Khan fought a guy named Scott Lawton who was a real Lightweight same size, if not taller than Khan, Khan stopped him in 3/4 rounds I think.

Yeah but Lawton didn't land clean on Khan.

Bradley is not a hard puncher, but look at the KD on Edner Cherry-Would've sparked Khan clean.

Ricardo Torres, Juan Urango, Holt, Maidana, Kotelnik, Hell, Edner Cherry too, all hit hard enough to stop Khan.

I don't even want to mention Hatton, and (I'm not kidding) Paulie could probably stop him too. It's that bad.

I was trying to make a point about size, people think Khan has always fought blown up super feather and smaller guys. How do you know Khan's chin will NOT improve at 140? Lawton did'nt land clean on Khan then, now with Roach behind Khan and his improved defence and footwork what makes you think other fighters will land lots of clean shots?. Hit and move Roach can make Khan a master counter puncher with time.

I don't think it'll make a difference, no. There's never been anything to suggest he had difficulty making lightweight in the forst place.
The example of Cotto is to my mind a very bad one, there was nothing wrong with his chin at 140, Corley shook him with a short temple shot which he didn't see coming and Corley has a respectable punch, he may not be Tszyu but he's not Malinaggi either, Torres hurt him because Torres is a massive puncher. I don't see how a guy who's been put on ***** street by featherweights with no power is magically going to appear more durable against bigger, stronger opponents. Kotelnik ko.

he could soak the ****er in concrete before he fights? i know they say a fighter can improve punch resistance by improving fitness, stamina, leg strength and sparring etc,but nah i cant see it improving just cos he's moving up in weight, he's just gonna get hit harder aint he. its a shame really cos he's a nice kid, but no matter what, whenever he takes a good shot i think its gonna be lights out.

dodgy chin or not, it's clear he has skills. As long as he can avoid getting hit by bombs, either by good offence or good defence, then there's no reason why he can't go far.

Let's face it, Tommy Hearns always had this problem too, but he still had a hell of a career.

His chin should improve a little bit at 140, but not enough to make a massive difference.

its obvious khan is a extremely well conditioned boxer who puts his combinations together beautifully at times, think his chin might actually be a bit worse than tommy's but if he learns a style that suits him and protects the hell outa his chin then thats what hes gotta do. it may mean that at the top level he is going to have to become a lot, lot more patient and get used to being safe and cleverly outboxing people over the distance rather than looking for the stoppage and trading. Being with Freddie Roach hes undoubtedly in the right spot. freddie, unlike a lot of coaches has his eyes open to his fighters weakness and directly adresses it. when he first got the pacman he was all double jab straight left over and over but hes evolved him into a all round great. khan should admit his failings to himself in the style he fights and try to fight like something approaching winky wright

I think he'll never be able to take huge, flush power shots without going down, but his legs are very weak at LW, so putting muscle, especially on the calves can help him staying on steady legs when he gets hit with average power punches, so moving up can benefit him.

Roach did just that with Manny.

His Chin is the worst in the sport for a rated fighter right now.

You can't train a Glass Jaw.

He will continue to get brutally KOed over and over until he retires.

Nothing can help a Glass Jaw that is that bad.
