We would never know.. But the genes in people today arent the same as they were back in the old times. People is naturally larger today.. I'm always defending modern heavyweights but in this case Marciano would knock this guy the **** out. His chin was brutally exposed by old Monte Barrett (a fair bit bigger than Marciano to be fair) but even with the size difference, which will always pose problems to such a guy much smaller, Marciano had too much quality to lose to a fringe contender (at best) like Fields. For the record I think genuinely good big guys like Lewis and the Klitschkos would beat Marciano senseless in one sided affairs, but Fields is nowhere near these guys
