Could Tito catch Hearns and put him to sleep?

Let's bring up Tito's shortcomings, not just Hearns folks.

I was thinking the same thing. Tito was fabulous but he was dropped a few times against fellows inferior to Tommy. Of course Tito has a puncher's chance, but Tommy is just one level above him

Tito has a 5% chance of doing it, but most likely he gets coldcocked anywhere from 1 to 3 rounds, wondering why he was in the ring with Tommy in the first place.

Hearns knockout victory. Hearns chin was dodgy but he fought plenty of big hitters. At Welter Tommy too big. At 154 Tommy at his best. Too big fast and powerful.

It might not be the slugfest it's being described as and I don't see an early KO. Lesser fighters than Tito took Tommy a few rounds but, similarly, Tommy wasn't the glass cannon at welter he can be portrayed as. Leonard hit hard at welter and he had a lot of trouble putting Tommy away.

It might be that each respects the other enough for it to become a boxing match and Tommy uses that jab and reach to box his way to a fairly one sided decision in a fight that draws boos from a crowd that had been hoping each fighter's rep would be borne out in a war.

De la Hoya vs Trinidad minus the disputed decision may well ensue, folks. Sorry to be a buzzkill.

Close to 50/50 in my mind. I would edge towards Tommy to win, but think Tito has a better shot than most would.
