Losing isn’t a career ending event for great boxers that consistently challenge themselves agaisnt the best. Hopkins lost in his professional debut. He went on to be one of the greatest boxer over the last 30 years as well as all time. Loma lost to Salido, but his performance was actually very good. He wasn’t completely dominated...he wasn’t in any trouble at any point but he did almost stop Salido. Loma just ran out of runway having lost too many of the early rounds on the judges score cards. There are many who felt Loma did enough to earn a decision over Salido.

Actually he was the only current fighter to hold all 4 belts in his division. Now he moves up to find more competition. Time will tell about whether he is big enough to beat welterweights.

How exactly did Lundy get under Bud's skin. After 2 years of telling the world what the big city boy would do to the rube from Nebraska he got 5 rounds of getting his ass kicked. He was never competitive in the fight and hasn't been heard from since. Unlike Thurman and Mikey Garcia, Crawford has ducked no one nor has he said "maybe next year." He stepped up and gave an undefeated Postol a one-sided defeat. And like Lundy he hasn't been heard from again. You are entitled to you opinion but you are not entitled to change the facts.
