Tommy Hearns is really, really close to being the greatest WW of all time. Hell one of the greatest boxer/punchers of all time period. One loss, to someone else who has a case for being considered that. At WW Hearns was very close to being the perfect fighter. JMW too. Crawford isn't as good of a high speed chess player as Benitez or Sugar Ray and Hearns handled both of them (from a boxer/puncher standpoint). Hearns was never outboxed in his entire career................like literally ever. He got outmanned by 3 of the toughest guys in history, 2 at a much higher weight. Crawford for this era is the apex, but it's a big ask for you to find a scenario that he outboxes or outguns Hearns.
its just one good win lol. they acting like pacquiao and mayweather didnt have more than one good win.
It’s bizarre lol People can say Spence wasn’t weight drained or suffering from ring rust along with the long term effects caused by his crash….but then that means Spence just wasn’t as good as advertised. I’ve seen far lesser fighters give Crawford a tougher run for his money than Spence did.
I have often thought that if Tommy Hearns had an all-time great chin he may have been the best fighter ever. He was an excellent boxer and had devastating power but he was let down by his whiskers on numerous occasions.
