I think Crawford just has more tools in his belt, and has higher ring iq, and will make Spence pay with sharp counters and better ringcraft

Crawford says he's often been the smaller man but that's not the case. He's at worst a good sized 147 pounder and he's always been a natural 147 pounder IMO. He looks the same size as most of these 147 pounders he's fought to me. I'd be very surprised if either weighed less than 162lbs in the ring but Spence is obviously the naturally bigger man and he's at least a natural 154 pounder.

One thing I always thought Crawford had in his locker for this fight if things weren't going his way was he could get on his bicycle like he did against Postol. However, when I think about it he's 35 now, up at 147, and bigger and heavier and not as quick or light on his feet as he was back then.

I remember thinking to myself in his last fight that Avanesyan might get to him and hurt him with that aggression and pressure style of his if he could close the distance and got past that pawing jab (which was borderline stiff-arming a lot of the time and actually stiff-arming sometimes) and he did catch Crawford and rock him a few times.

I don't think Crawford has ever been a speedster but for some reason I thought he was fast

Not saying he's slow but there's nothing impressive about his speed here. Not that Spence is any faster or anything though.

Where do you rate this fight in terms of stature and mainstream attention in the welterweight division’s history?
As a matchup I mean (As a fight in its own right…well, we’ll find out when it happens).

It’s clearly not on the level of Leonard-Duran, Leonard-Hearns or Mayweather-Pacquiao. It doesn’t have the historical weight of a Robinson-Gavilán either.

The fight it feels most like to me is Curry-McCrory. Neither fighter is a household name (yet) but the winner will certainly cement their place at or near the very top of p4p lists and their mainstream profile will take a big jump up as a result.

I think we're going to see both of them get hurt tonite at some point, I just think Spence is the better fighter and will show he has more dog in him than Crawford.

Yeah even our Head Coach at the Boxing Club here know Spence and has been to his training gym several times in TX.
He says Spence got too much Amature experience, size and overall work ability to lose tonight to Bud. I’m just excited
