    Hank went 27-0 (26 KOs) in 1937 and won the featherweight title from Pete Sarron, while in 1938 he was 14-0 (10 KOs) winning the LW and WW belts against fellow HOF'ers Ambers and Barney Ross. Beating Arizimendi, Wright, and also beating Future MW champ Garcia, in a 10 rounder.

    Insanity. Anything similar? Charles had a ridiculous 2 years at one point but I'm not sure on the years.

    :dealThis is the reason why i get pissed off with some mayweather fans when they rant about how hes the best, hes got an '0', blah blah blah blah. If you were to recite this post word for word to half of them, they'd just look at you as if ya took a **** on their dinner and carry on regardless.

    This simply wont be beaten. An astonishing achievement. To put it in perspective, he owned 42% of all the world title belts available :admin

    suffering christ :lol::lol::lol:

    A mere pittance, compared to this astounding feat of Harry Greb...
    in 1919 Greb had 43 wins,and in 1920 the amazing Greb won 45 fights out
    of 45. For a total of 88 wins in a TWO year span. Many of his wins were over much heavier men. Try as you can, this two year span is unmatchable
    in boxing lore...One for the ages...

    His big wins in that period are indeed legendary accomplishments of epic proportions. Let's leave off the bit about how he went 27-0 in one year though. There are a lot of guys among those 27 whom a modern fighter would be laughed at for stepping in a ring with under any circumstances.

    Exactly.

    Charles beat Moore, Bivins and Smith between 2 years but did it one weight.

    Greb beat Tunney, Loughran (twice I believe) and Gibbons, within 2 years

    Greb looks good. Armstrong looks better IMO

    Miske, Levinsky, Gibbons, Meehan are indeed great wins. Not quite on par of Armstrong's top stuff in the 2 years, nor in terms of claiming nearly half of boxing's championships.

    I give the edge to Armstrong in this regards, bb.

    Which is why I don't put TOO much stock into the years BB listed. I could list some could Chavez years where he went like 50-0

    So you laugh at me ,calling me a troll. Go back to reading comic books and start reading the history of boxing....You might learn there was boxing before television...And please change your diapers...
