Criticizing Jones' resume

This is quite possibly one of the most well written arguments I've ever read on ESB.

 

Why did Roy Jones Jr. have such a tiny little head? I think that is the main reason he kept getting sparked later in his careeer. Once his motor skills were done he was done. I enjoy his commentary though now.

DM was not stripped for merely holding the WBO next to the WBA and IBF..

He was stripped of the WBA for not defending it against Lou Devalle. Devalle was promised a shot after his controversial loss to Hill .. Eventually Devalle ends up fighting for the vacant WBA title and wins it against Smulders . Jones ends up beating Devalle ,But according to you JONES STOLE THIS BELT .. Yeah your educated alright ..


The IBF and William Guthrie

I'm sure you will come hear and blurt out that unreasonable defense excuse again but anyone who knows the deal knows that it was DM's own promoter who stated that Guthrie was a King fighter and we will never work with King ! But I know you will say poor DM that was wrong he was un rightfully stripped yet neither stripping was ever contested ! This is why he was content with defending his WBO against the cab drivers of Germany !

Had this been Jones you would have said he ducked Guthrie ..Meanwhile Guthrie fights Reggie Johnson for the IBF ,Johsnon wins it then defends the belt later loses it to Jones and once again this is another belt that he stole ! Yeah I find it funny that he wins it in the ring but you come here and try to rewrite history to push your agenda .. But I know your educating us


And the lineal champ wanted the to fight the best fighter p4p and the star who called out who ? And what so should Jones have gone to Germany And since when did the Lineal champ become the best man in the division ? Its been proven time and time again that being lineal meant little if your comp was never any good ! Jones and DM basically shared the same resume with a few different exceptions the difference is with their common opponents Jones dispatched them with ease !

Dm never had any intentions of fighting Jones unless it was on his home turf .Germany was infamous for robbing fighters and still is funny DM called Jones out but wanted the fight on his terms I know it was Jones who priced himself ..Right this was all Jones :huh

So Jones stole the WBC too right ,the belt he vacated right ..And Jones ducked him right.. Guess it was Jones fault as well that he chose to fight the WBC in court as opposed to fighting him in the ring . Nah you have nooo agenda here .atsch

 

There's some very good points here , roy defiantly has some poor opponents on his resume, and STB there's no threads about the other guys because jones was seen to be the main man and is talked about as a great , I think he defiantly low balled Michael nunn
