So you are telling me Tarver and Johnson were not a step up from:

    Glen Kelly
    Richard Hall
    David Telesco
    Richard Frazier
    Otis Grant

    Seriously? :patsch

Roy didn't duck Dariusz and Roch.

If you're afraid of Roch and Dariusz, you wouldn't fight Toney, Hopkins, Hill, Ruiz, Tarver and Calzaghe, and offer to fight Frankie Liles etc.

    It would be illogical.

    So stop talking nonsense.

Yes, Roy and Dariusz fought the same opponents.

But Roy beat four of them with absolute ease, before Dariusz did.

He gave Hall a merciless hiding, yet Dariusz then went on to fight him TWICE! Yet you're going to tell us that Dariusz seriously wanted Roy?

After negotiations broke down between to the pair, Roy went on to fight Ruiz, Tarver, Calzaghe and Hopkins etc.

Do you seriously believe that had Dariusz not retired, that he'd have fought guys like that?

When he was happy fighting Lakatos, King and Roy's leftovers?

Do you know who Roy's biggest critics were at certain points in his career?

    HBO.

So when they back up the fact that certain guys wouldn't fight him, you know that they were telling the truth.

According to an interview with Roy from 2012, Dariusz turned down $5m from HBO.

Showing washed-up Jones fails in the TS, but the example of Lou del Valle knocking Jones down and indeed rocking Jone's world with Jones coming back to win is more of an argument FOR Jones greatness than than against it.

Ruiz was not a great HW.

    But he was decent.

His style was awful, but effective.

How many former MW champions have fought at HW?

How many 34 year old LHW's have fought at HW?

Roy was the first guy in 106 to do it.

    Who's done it since?

When you've answered all of these questions, you'll realise that it was a great win.

So you're saying its ok to not fight a guy who was your mando because he got stripped? Sorry my man, that just sounds like an excuse. You're giving him a pass cor pretty much doing the same thing you accuse Roy of. He went on to fight Nicky Piper after being stripped, but had no need to fight Guthrie? Thats the pot calling the kettle black 8 days a week. :huh

You just listed some of the worst fighters Roy fought, although Telesco wasn't a bad fighter and Hall gave DM hell...

My point is, Roy Jones holds numerous victories over fighters on and above Tarver and Johnson's level, and the statement you made about getting knocked out because he stepped up to a different level is just more typical garbage from you that has been stinking up this forum for years.

No it doesn't.. Every fighter has fought some bums.

Roy cleared out almost the entire top 10 rated fighters at LHW over a span of years save DM...

And by agreeing with these Jones hating jokers, you are losing credibility by the post.

    :huh

You fight your mando because you have to to keep the title.

Why would you fight him after you've been stripped and he's lost to someone else for your vacant title?

Allways had an immense dislike for fighters like Jones who never took to stepping it up and conceding on some issues to get real fights made.

Brought me great pleasure that a broke Roy Jones made "ZERO" when he finally decided to fight Bernard Hopkins about a decade late!
Roy Jones deserved to have reality smack him in the face that way! :yep

Nothing that you said points to DM's promoter not wanting to work with a King fighter in typical troll fashion you missed the obvious pts but you want to talk about reading comprehension .Even of he wasn't with. King the direct quote is there !

.Do us a favor know wtf you are talking about before you come here and spit the same **** over and over again! Like I thought you replied just like I predicted ..Here you go with the 30 /90 day excuse but DM and his team had no intentions of meeting their mandatory requirements !

This is common sense 101 if a guy doesn't work with a promoter or fighter it's a duck but since it's Draius fan boys like you run to his defense like a damsel in distress !
