Morel was convicted of sexual assault of a drunken 15-year-old girl and was sent to prison

Morel's not offering a lot. I see what you mean, Pab.

I love Mares. Not enough fighters understand the importance of body shots. Mares reminds you of the importance of going down there. And he does it by mixing it up well in combinations--body and head.

Lucky he wasn't punished for that deliberate late blow there.

I know it's after 6am, but did any of you stay up/set your early alarms for the Mijares bout?

With jpab gone, the chances of a "yes" surely plummet. :sad2

    Anyway, Mijares looked godly. :good

Toyed with his opponent, beat the snot out of him, and knocked him out in style.

Mijares' power really does seem to have improved with the move up.

Didn't see the fight, but with British refs, Ali would have lost the Rumble in the Jungle, we would never have seen Castillo-Corrales 1 or Gatti-Ward...it is amazing that Moore-Jones 2 or so many other classic fights got to become classics.

British refs are ****ing pussies, no two ways about it. None of them have any balls whatsoever, all they're concerned about is the ever lurking memory of Watson/Eubank. It was over 2 decades ago, fellas. Sickening thing is the BBBoC seem to applaud this type of refereeing. Nobody wants to see a brave ref but the chance of actually seeing a classic war in a British ring is absolutely minimal, the chance of seeing at least a couple of embarrassing stoppages on a card are about 100%. Really is a terrible time to be a fan of the sport from an officiating POV, as many as if not more robberies than ever and not even good refereeing to fall back on.
