:nono Cano is not above Crolla. Prior to getting the call against Morales he didn't have a single outstanding result to match Crolla's best couple of wins, and had been gifted an unearned decision against a journeyman with just as bad a record as Montiel. Given that Cano was outboxing Morales before his fragility betrayed him as hurtful right handa piled up, I have to think Crolla would have had a fine chance if it was him in there instead. He isn't as fragile and would have only had to hang on a couple more rounds (and would have had one or two more banked before Morales could seize momentum away). That was not overall great form for the legend on the night. He just came on to finish strong and was lucky to be in with a kid who lacked the sturdiness to hold up under his spray of hard rights. Even having fought down to Montiel's level and been goaded into a brawl where he didn't look all that masterful, it's easy enough to envision Saturday's Crolla riding out a points win over Saturday's Morales.
