Two somewhat interesting fights coming up on Saturday, up-and-comers vs old former world title challengers: Zhan Kossobutskiy vs Johann Duhaupas Arslanbek Makhmudov vs Mariusz Wach Kossobutskiy and Makhmudov will possibly soon move into the heavyweight rankings of the IBF and WBO sanctioning organizations. Kossobutskiy is currently ranked by the WBA and Makhmudov is ranked by both the WBA and WBC. Both Makhmudov and Kossobutskiy are talented and fully capable of defeating most of the top heavyweights, but sadly they will be avoided by pampered risk-averse contenders like Parker, Hunter, Ortiz and Ruiz. And sadly, both are into their 30s and need to get some meaningful fights before too much time passes.
I like both these fighters a lot. And hopefully the psychedelic drugs Wilder takes leads him to realize he needs to take on Makhmudov as a stay busy confidence builder fight.
Whats the saying, something like when you start thinking of retirement in boxing, you should probably retire? If he's hearts not into it he should go enjoy the rest of his life.
Isn't his ass schizophrenic enough as it is? He's libel to go all "They Live" and start shooting people in public because he thinks they are aliens.
Arslanbek Makhmudov moves to 14-0 after a 6th round TKO stoppage victory over Mariusz Wach. Simon Kean moves to 21-1 after a 9th round TKO victory over Shawndell Terrell Winters. Jose Larduet moves to 8-0 after Dusan Veletic retired after the 7th round. Frazer Clarke moves to 1-0 after a 1st round TKO victory over Jake Darnell.
