Gbenga Oluokun v.s Sascha Brinkmann on 12/13 Oluokun arguably won his last 2 fights, but he deserves some record padding after going 0-5.
I saw him fight against Oluokun earlier this year, and yeah I wasn't very impressed... Thought Oluokun did more than enough to get the win. He could improve though, he is young after all an Oluokun is a really good journeyman who can play spoiler at times.
According to a guy in my Otto Wallin thread, Wallin will be facing Ivica Perkovic next week on Patrick Nielsen/Lukasz Wawrzyczek bill. Much better fight for him, Perkovic can be a handful and very hard to stop at times.
Gerald Washington will be taking a stay busy fight with Mike Sheppard on the 11th. His LOC in 14 fights is outstanding with dominant wins over American prospects, Curtis Harper, Skip Scott and Jerry Forrest , along with dominant wins over journeyman Nagy Aguilera and fringe contenders, Travis Walker and Sherwin Williams. Sheppard is a slightly less notable name in terms of accomplishment, but he's usually in good shape and comes to fight. Should give Washington a few tough rds. FTR.....while Shep is a step back from Williams and Walker and even Aguilera and Harper........remember that Sheppard had recently been inked to fight Deontay Wilder and just gave a decent account of himself vs Antonio Tarver and China Smith.:think
After his life and death struggle with Aguilera, I think Washington will feed on soft competition for a while. Did you see that fight??? It was by no means a good performance by Washington, let alone a dominant one. Aguilera definitely exposed Washington in that one, much closer than the scores suggest. A case can be made for Aguilera winning even, but I wouldn't call it a robbery.
