Francesco Pianeta was back on the ring yesterday vs someone named Edi Delibaltaoglu ( 3 - 2 ) , the results are still not added anywhere.
Sergey Kuzim will face Malcolm Tann in California on 23 June. It is kinda a little step up for Kuzmin.
Oscar Rivas didn't fight last week. I guess he either has managment problems now or it's his eye injury again! Also cuban prospect Robert Alfonso is scheduled to fight vs TBA on 19 August in Texas.
Those are the results you'd expect... But impressed with Takam getting Bacuin out that early, that guy has gone deep and even the distance with big punchers.
I wouldn't be surprised if Takam wins against Pulev ( if they ever face eachother ). Right now he is way more active... If Pulev is going to wait for a Joshua fight and if the Klitschko rematch happens, he will need to fight at least one more time a tune up and it will be vs someone horrible. There is no way Pulevs team risking the payday against Joshua.
Seems like he's only fighting 1-2 a year against poor journeymen at this stage. I think the KO1 loss to Chagaev sapped any real ambition he might have had left.
The death of Tim Hague is a bummer... I've always been a fan, he was a kill or be killed type of fighter even in MMA. But he really should have retired back in in 2012-2013... He was a good guy, not a complete meathead like many would expect. I believe before becoming a professional fighter he was a kindergarten teacher.... IDK what it is with the journeymen mindset, but it's like some of these guys are addicted to being KO'd.... Mind boggling as to why he insisted on fighting on, unlike a lot of guys there were other things he could fall back on. A real tragedy for all involved, Hagues friends/family and the pro fighting community as a whole.
The WBA have stripped Beibut Shumenov of his WBA Regular title due his injury and have promoted Yunier Dorticos to the Regular champion, Dorticos will face the winner of Lebedev vs Flanagan in 120 days. I read that Dorticos wanted to be in the cruiserweight tournament and it would be pretty cool if he joined up.
Due to a eye injury sustained in training camp, Beibut Shumenov will be forced to retire, i that sucks
Update on Tervel Pulev. He has a new oponent for his scheduled fight on 30 June. It's Drazan Janjanin, he is the most known fighter that Tervel is facing. He lost via 2nd round knockout against Chisora and a wide decision against Dimitrenko. Good 4th fight for Tervel Pulev!
