“Personally, I think styles make fights and I think this can be an easy fight for me,” he said. “I don’t see anything he can do that’s gonna hurt me, I don’t think he has that much punching power, and we’ve been working on cutting off the ring, so I think July 15 shouldn’t be a problem. I’m at the door and knocking. I just have to push that door down and go for it.” commented Adam Kownacky about his upcoming fight against Artur Spilzka.
Only way he wins is if he has a Wach esque chin that's able to take Szpilkas leather, that and Szpilka gasses... Kownacki for me is far too basic, slow and cumbersome to have any real shot here. Szpilka KO inside 5 rounds.
Feed Teper to the more talented German based Turk Kabayel Daniel Tai/Hemi Ahio winner vs. Fujimoto would be cool. Good opponent for his sophomore fight! The fat Georgian is tough Dryuchin was exposed and shouldn't be considered a serious prospect anymore, but he can still be involved in some good fights. As for Wallin... He's closing in on 20 pro fights... Should be getting ready to step up to at least European level, if Granat isn't throwing the towel in would still like to see those two throw down. Otherwise there are a few German based fighters I'd like to see him tested against. I think Wallin gives Charr a boxing lesson...
At least for this fight we'll learn something new so it is a significant fight in my eyes. This year has been painfully slow with all the boxing politics. Even slower than last year.
Haha, yes.First, it was planned for the end of August but that fall apart, but at least they will get more fights under the belt.
I love this British prospect match ups. Wish promoters in US and Germany followed suit, fighters only get better with those bouts.
When was the last time two undefeated German prospects faced off???? Has to be Schwarz/Mezencev(certainly for the heavies anyways) and that was an absolutely cracking fight!
Vlad and Joshua are the only heavyweights worth mentioning at this time, Fury if he gets in tip top shape............ Usyk is in a class of his own...............
Former heavyweight world title challenger Francois Botha (48-11-3, 29 KOs) will be back to the ring on September 29 in South Africa. Botha, who will turn 49 one day prior to this fight, will be facing 11 years younger Knife Didier (4-2, 3 KOs).
Ukrainian heavyweight prospect Vladyslav Sirenko (3-0, 3 KOs), who started his pro career in South Africa with three first-minute knockout wins, will be back in the ring in mid August in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, his trainer James Ali Bashir told Boxingnews.com.ua. James Ali Bashir also said that he plans to keep 22-years-old Sirenko very active - if everything goes as planned, Sirenko will have 9 or more wins in his record before the end of the year.
