I watched Thomas/Allen.Allen lost every round. And, I saw Kabayel/Hebeux as well, close fight but Kabayel won.Kabayel/Hebeux was hard to watch, I was bored out of my mind.
I thought Thomas Vs Allen was a close fight, i was actually expecting the home fighter (Allen) to get the nod.
Robert Alfonso will face Devin Vargas on 11 August. This event will be promoted by Jay Deas(Alfonso's manager and promoter). Jay Deas is a co promoter of Deontay Wilder. P.S. This fight will be a measuring stick for Roberto Alfonso.
Just saw Miller and Washington face to face, and i was suprised that they were almost the same height.
10-9 Hammer 10-9 Hammer 10-9 Benmakhlouf 10-9 Hammer 10-9 Benmakhlouf close 10-8 Hammer 10-9 Hammer 10-9 Hammer 10-9 Hammer 10-9 Benmakhlouf 97-92 Hammer Woeful performance from Hammer.... He didn't even look like a top 50 HW here. I'm sure a lot of German based guys are licking their chops after this and desperately want to get this guy in the ring so they can rocket through the rankings. A few would have a good shot at pulling the upset. I'd like to see fellow countryman and amateur rival(Hammer went 0-3 I believe) Dinu get another shot and do a demolition job on him. That would be the perfect fight to put him over and finally into a relevant position in the division, though it's doubtful that Hammer would be very eager to take that fight and Dinu is exactly going out there demanding it.
Either later tonight or tomorrow I'm going to watch and score Allen/Thomas. Scoring that Hammer fight was pretty boring work, had to spread it throughout the day lol.
Hammer is arguably a top 10 heavyweight his resume is good. I have feeling Povetkin will face him. He provides good money for the match and needs him to put pressure on for title fight.
Yeah. I like Hammer but he definitely isn't a top 10 HW. He's better than he looks... Tough and rugged, and some might say he's over achieved. But at the end of the day he's the most beatable and flawed top 20 HW in the world. Personally I'd like to see him and Wach go at it again. Hammer could probably outbox and out move him like he did Teper. Hammer schooled Teper, where as Wach/Teper was pretty close(115-113) on my card. I think Hammer is hoping he can cherry pick his way into a mandatory position and earn a comfy pay day.
Yeah. He knocked Manhoef, a faded Aerts, had a close one with LeBanner that was set to go to an Extra round by LeBanner opted to not fight it, and has a win over a prime Gokhan Saki(easily his best win) He probably would have been better suited for the K-1 LHW division(CW in boxing) at the time there weren't very many guys who could touch him there. He was just too small for HW.
**** just saw that Miller was 296 lbs for his fight against Kassi, which was almost a year ago(so he probably ballooned up to well above 300 lbs since). I might consider pulling for the upset if he shows up around the same weight.
Just for the record I don't think his talent makes him top 10 I just think his resume makes an argument for it, some decent wins And losses to quality opponents like Fury and wach. For instance Ring magazine has Jarrell Miller as their number 10 contender. He has fought no one. At least Hammer has Teper, Price and guys like Kevin johnson, Sherman Williams sprott etc. that to me should at least rate higher even if I felt Miller would beat him
